Keep it simple, keep it clean

Sometimes the best dinners are the ones where you let the food do the speaking.  This post is about making your own sauces, finding grass fed beef, and keeping it simple!

At our local summer market I was able to find some grass fed bison tenderloin filets.  I lightly coated them in olive oil and made a homemade BBQ sauce of ripe tomatoes, sweet red peppers, honey, garlic, onion, paprika, and salt with a food processor.

I paired the filets with sweet bell peppers that I sautéed with olive oil and a black mission fig balsamic vinegar.

The result from using fresh ingredients and making my own sauce instead of store bought was a tasteful and healthy dinner that everyone can appreciate.
